The recent turmoil over "social games", which are criticized for driving users crazy about pumping their money into items, implies the question, "Then, how are businesses ever to make money?"

Online games are not the only industry that is only concerned with how it makes money, as opposed to why it makes money. For example:
-The media outlets great effort only to get news and make it go public sooner than their competitors because this is allegedly the most effective way to attract audiences, which is related to money. No further analyzing of the news follows.
-Consultancies persuade their clients to pay them, not only by providing well-qualified solutions and their products, but also by spending long periods of time generating the solution that appeal to the clients.
-There are some musicians, according to fans who have liked them since they began singing, that tend to create songs that sell well, not songs that express what they truly are.

I don't blame any specific field of business. The point is, for any industry, we should all recognize that the balance between what a business makes money for and how it makes money is very subtle. No wonder there are people who are suspicious of the business that often rushes to make at any cost. Instead the people challenge monetizing what they really want their customers to purchase, but most of the time they fail to do so.

Those two matters are considered almost impossible to reconcile. I admit it to some degree, too. However, I think this is what makes so-called visionary companies visionary. I am not interested in generating the visionary company. But in order to follow my principles, or in other words, to be satisfied, I will have to face this challenge sooner or later in my life.
